Jewelry Care
Simple care for handmade jewelry
Handmade jewelry lasts best when it is treated gently. Because Celestial Creations pieces may use different stones, wires, chains, plating, and findings, always check the material details on the individual product listing.
Everyday care
- Put jewelry on after lotions, perfume, hairspray, and makeup have dried.
- Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
- Avoid household cleaners, harsh jewelry dips, and abrasive polishing products.
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or compartment to reduce scratching and tangling.
- Handle stones, wirework, hooks, and delicate chains gently rather than pulling or bending them.
Cleaning
Wipe the piece softly with a clean, dry, non-abrasive cloth after wearing. If more cleaning is needed, use a slightly damp cloth only when appropriate for the listed materials, then dry the piece completely. Do not soak natural stones or handmade wirework.
Material notes
Sterling silver and copper can naturally darken over time. This is normal and can often be refreshed with a cloth intended for that specific metal. Plated pieces should be wiped gently and should not be aggressively polished, because polishing can wear through the finish.
